TopChart is born with 2 indicators: Total amount of discussionand Emotion Index. TopChart is only ranked based on Buzz Volume.

TopChart is upgraded to TopBuzz, with the addition of Total number of interactions(Total interaction = Like + Share + Comment). TopBuzz still ranks based on Total Discussions.

All the five factors of the BSI index has an equally important influence.

With the BSI, every effective campaign requires theevaluation of all five factors: high volume of discussion, positive sentiment, campaign/brand related discussion, call for user engagement (UGC) & high reach.

Replace Object Mention with Relevance Score, with an emphasis in relevance: The more relevant the discussion is about the brand, the better the campaign message will be evaluated compared to the discussions regarding tactics and actions for the organization's brand.

Replace UGC with Virality Score, which fully reflects the level of spread across both Paid & Owned media. Virality Score is an index based on the share of discussion on 3 sources: Paid, Owned, Earned media, not just considered on Earned Media such as UGC.

The BSI Awards evaluate campaigns based on a complete scoring system, combining social media metrics, benchmarks & expertise from industry leading experts.

A campaign will be evaluated comprehensively on 5 factors: strategy, insight, ideas, implementation plan, KPIs & social media metrics.

As a result, the 2023 edition of the BSI will introduce two more quality measurement indicators, namely:
- Diversity Score: show the degree of diversity in the content of discussions on social networks. When social networks are considered a society with a diversity of colors, personalities, and value systems, social media users will naturally have diverse responses with their different opinions and stories. This indicator is intended to assess the degree of natural interaction of the commercial campaign with social media users.
- Audience Score: The index is intended to assess how attractive a commercial campaign is to natural users compared to “fans” creating virtual accounts in support of a brand or celebrity.
